The Half Marathon will take place on the morning of Sunday 25th October 2026, at 10am.
The 10K will take place the day before, on the morning of Saturday 24th October 2026, also at 10am.
Where?
Bakewell — the Monsal Trail. Starting at Bakewell Station, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1GE
Why?
Upbeat Communities relies on donations from generous members of the public to fund a great deal of our work. That’s why we’re looking for some enthusiastic fundraisers: to raise vital funds so we can keep supporting refugees at all ages and stages through English classes, support groups, community meals, and much more. These projects offer a lifeline of community and belonging for refugees rebuilding their lives in the UK — but we need your help to sustain them into the future.
Who can take part?
Anybody who is a capable runner. We would not recommend either of these events for you if you are not an experienced runner.
How do I sign up?
Please use the form below to register your interest, and our team will be in touch with you to discuss the next step of your fundraising journey. We’ll support you every step of the way, so you don’t have to worry if you have never fundraised before.
You are welcome to pay for your place if you would like to. Otherwise, Upbeat Communities will be happy to pay your fee — but we ask that you commit to trying your best, with our support, to raise £150 towards our work with refugees. If you don’t manage to raise this amount, we’d ask that you cover the price of your place yourself.
