Partner with us in our online auction.
We’re looking for some generous individuals and companies to take part in a digital auction to raise money for our work welcoming refugees and asylum seekers in Derby.
What is an online auction?
An online auction — sometimes known as a silent auction — is similar to a normal auction, but held online. Since it’s for charity, it’s also a way of fundraising the money we need to run our projects, so we can continue changing the lives of refugees.
The auction will work by placing bids on different prizes, and the highest bid will win the item. All the proceeds will go to Upbeat Communities.
How will people bid?
We will use a platform called Jumblebee which will make it really easy for supporters to make a bid from their mobile phone, computer, or other device — anywhere in the world.
What will the prizes be?
We’re looking for a range of exciting prizes to make up our online auction. That’s where you come in! You can use the form at the bottom of this page to tell us what you’d like to provide. Here are some ideas:
An activity class e.g. pottery-painting, cookery, art or exercise class
A voucher for a meal out, day trip or weekend away
Something delicious (or a voucher for it) e.g. ice-cream, coffee, or wine
A service e.g. hair styling, makeover, massage or other spa treatment
A photo or poster signed by a celebrity

You’ll get lots of exposure to hundreds of potential customers as the auction gets shared around online. Plus, we’ll make sure to give you a shoutout in the weeks leading up to the auction as we spread the word on our social media channels.

You’ll be making an amazing impact helping refugees and their families to rebuild their lives in Derby.

10th-24th March 2025.

Please ensure that the item you are offering is able to be used/redeemed within 12 months.
We cannot guarantee that somebody will buy your prize, unfortunately. If this happens, we would like to use the prize for another purpose, for example, as a thank you to some of our most loyal supporters. In the form below, you will be able to tick the checkbox to show you agree to this.
